Government Opens Applications for PhD Scholarships in China

The Ministry of Higher Education has opened applications for Maldivian students to pursue PhD studies in China under a new scholarship opportunity.

The scholarships are offered for two doctoral programmes at the Institute of Global Development of Zhejiang University. The programmes available are a PhD in Applied Economics and a PhD in Public Administration.

According to the ministry, applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field to be eligible. Each applicant is permitted to apply for only one of the two programmes.

Applications will remain open until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, 25 March.

The ministry stated that applications can be submitted through the Ministry of Higher Education portal. Further information is available on the ministry’s website and the Kuri portal.
