Government Opens Applications for SAARC Rehabilitation Science Scholarship in Bangladesh

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development has opened applications for the 2026 SAARC Scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science in Bangladesh. 

The scholarship covers tuition and related expenses through the SAARC Development Fund.

Eligible candidates must be citizens of a SAARC member country and hold a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, medicine, nursing, prosthetics and orthotics, or a related health field. Applicants must also have at least one year of recognised work or internship experience.

Applications to the Ministry must be submitted by 1:30 pm on 12 April 2026. Nominees must provide attested originals and copies of all documents to the Ministry by 12:00 pm on 14 April 2026. The Ministry will nominate all eligible candidates, with the final selection made by the scholarship organisers.

The programme, offered by the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute (BHPI) under the University of Dhaka, runs for two years. Admission notifications will be issued on 30 July 2026, with enrolment closing on 30 August 2026.
