Government has introduced a policy that enables current flat owners who have received housing under previous schemes to apply for land plots and flats under new housing initiatives, provided they are willing to relinquish their existing properties.
This opportunity extends to individuals who are recipients of flats in areas such as Sinamale’ and Male’ Hiyaa, those who obtained flats during the initial phase of development in Hulhumale, as well as individuals who have acquired flats from government-owned enterprises.
Under the ambit of the government’s Gedhoruveriyaa scheme, plans are underway for the construction of 32 18-storey towers. These towers will encompass various unit configurations, including two- and three-bedroom units.
The scheme aims to offer 1,400 three-bedroom units, each spanning 900 square feet, and 600 two-bedroom units, measuring 650 square feet.
