President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that the official working hours for the upcoming month of Ramadan will be adjusted, running from 09:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs on weekdays.
This decision, communicated by the President’s Office, will remain effective throughout Ramadan and the initial seven days of Shawwal.
The President’s Office clarified that this schedule mirrors previous years’ arrangements dating back to 2022, maintaining a four-hour daily work period during the holy month. It further advised all government offices to organise their activities efficiently within the specified timeframe.
According to the calendar, Ramadan is anticipated to commence on March 11, with the moon sighting scheduled for March 10.
