The loans will be disbursed upon the submission of necessary documentation, with the arrangement process taking a maximum of five days from the date of submission.

It is worth noting that loans may be withheld for students failing to submit the requisite documents. Therefore, the Ministry strongly encourages students to ensure all documentation is in order. Successful applicants will also receive a certificate signifying their status as scholarship recipients.

In June, the government released the final list of students set to benefit from the Higher Education Loan Scheme 2023. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has approved loans for 1,225 students who meet the eligibility criteria.

Furthermore, the Ministry has extended the opportunity to an additional 50 students, whose applications are currently under processing, with fee sheets completed.

It is notable that the administration fee for this loan scheme has been reduced to a nominal 1%.
