The government has plans to allocate a total of 2,219 land plots of varying sizes within the Gulhifalhu region.
The initial distribution featured plots measuring 2,450 square feet each. It’s worth noting that all plot sizes available under the Binveriyaa Scheme, with the exception of the 4000 square feet option, are included in the Gulhifalhu distribution.
Addressing the media, Mohamed Arif, Senior Executive Director of the Planning Ministry, confirmed that all land plots designated under the scheme would be allocated to recipients by November 5 of this year.
He reassured the public that essential services would be in place by the time Gulhifalhu is ready for habitation.
The development of vital infrastructure such as water supply, sewerage systems, and road networks in Gulhifalhu is scheduled to commence early next year, with the Planning Ministry, Urbanco, and various government agencies taking charge of these endeavors.
State Minister Akram Kamaluddin from the Planning Ministry also spoke to reporters, stating that the establishment of basic services in Gulhifalhu is expected to be completed within a year. While acknowledging potential delays in facilities like schools, he stated that core services would be accessible without undue delay.
