Gov’t Initiates Verification Process for ‘Gedhoruveriyaa’ Scheme Beneficiaries

The government has officially begun the process of verifying the living conditions of individuals who have been deemed eligible to receive flats in the Male’ City area as part of the government’s housing policy, yesterday.

The list of recipients who have qualified for the ‘Gedhoruveriyaa’ scheme was made public on the 8th of this month.

This decision was accompanied by the commitment to allocate flats to all eligible applicants.

The ongoing verification process is aimed at ensuring the accuracy of the information provided by the applicants regarding their living situations. As part of this process, the recipients of the flats are being contacted in order to corroborate and verify their current living conditions.

The scheme garnered significant interest, with a total of 14,489 applications submitted for the available 4,000 flats. 

The flats are divided into two categories: 2,800 three-bedroom flats measuring 900 square feet, and 1,200 two-bedroom flats measuring 650 square feet.
