Gov’t Launches ‘Hiyaavehi’ Portal for Housing Matters

The Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development has unveiled ‘Hiyaavehi’, a new online portal dedicated to addressing various housing-related concerns, as part of the government’s broader ‘Hafuthaa 14’ roadmap.

The inauguration ceremony, overseen by Social and Family Development Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham, took place on last Thursday.

The portal, as outlined by the Housing Ministry, aims to streamline processes for applications concerning state-run housing projects and associated services, such as housing loans. Additionally, it serves as a platform for lodging complaints regarding housing matters.

Accessible via eFaas, the ‘Hiyaavehi’ portal offers registered users the facility to submit applications, which will be subject to a ranking system. 

Moreover, data collected through the portal will contribute to collaborative efforts with local councils in conducting assessments of housing needs.
