Gov’t Opens Applications for Aviation Security Command Roles

The Ministry of Defence has commenced the application process for a range of positions within the Aviation Security Command, aimed at enhancing security measures across airports.

According to the Ministry’s announcement, there is a demand for 55 officers to oversee security operations under the Command. The registration window for these vacancies has been prolonged until the 18th of this month to accommodate potential applicants.

Successful candidates can expect a remuneration package of MVR 7420, comprising a basic salary of MVR 5,950 along with a service allowance of MVR 1,500. Furthermore, a daily meal allowance of MVR 60 is included, alongside a special duty allowance equivalent to 35% of the salary and a monthly phone allowance of MVR 150.

Eligibility criteria necessitate applicants to have achieved a Grade C in two Secondary Grade subjects, as well as a minimum Grade C in Dhivehi Language in Secondary School Certificate examinations. Moreover, the role of Airport Security Officer requires candidates to hold a Level 3 Maldives National Qualification Framework (MNQF) certificate.

Additionally, prospective employees must be within the age bracket of 18 to 35 years and meet a minimum height requirement of 5 feet.

Successful applicants joining the Airport Security Command will undergo basic training and subsequently be promoted to CS rank 1-3 within their respective positions.
