Gov’t Publishes Plot Numbers for Maafushi Land Recipients

The government has today published the plot numbers for Maafushi land recipients following a draw held last Thursday.

The draw to determine the land recipients took place in Maafushi School.

To initiate a plot transfer, a written request must be submitted to the Council within seven official days, starting from the 24th of September.

It is noteworthy that the 308 plots earmarked for allocation in Maafushi collectively span a 2,000 acres. 

This land allocation process was set in motion following the dredging of 25 hectares of land from the Maafushi lagoon, underscoring the region’s evolving landscape.
