The Department of National Registration (DNR) has eased their ID card issuance policies, allowing citizens to receive their cards through others, effective from February 25, 2024.

The DNR detailed that third parties taking these ID cards must arrive with a signed letter from the card owner.

Moreover, the DNR clarified its stance on post-issuance grievances, asserting that complaints regarding non-receipt of the identity card, despite adherence to the outlined procedure, will not be subject to investigation.
