The six-month programme provided training in six key areas: gardening, computer hardware and networking, front office services, health and safety in construction, electrical installation and maintenance, and construction site supervision. Participants also received a monthly stipend. The initiative was conducted under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HDC and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information, and Arts, with the Maldives Institute of Technology (MIT) serving as the training institute.

HDC emphasised its commitment to supporting youth employment by guiding them in career selection, providing job training, and issuing nationally recognised certificates. The corporation also reiterated its efforts to train Maldivians for jobs currently filled by expatriates, reaffirming its full support for the government’s initiatives to develop a skilled youth workforce and expand employment opportunities across various sectors.
