Health Ministry Awards Contracts for Health Center Extensions

The Health Ministry has recently awarded contracts for the construction of extension buildings and fences at two health centers in the Maldives. The projects aim to improve healthcare facilities and services in the respective areas.

The contract for the extension building and fence of the Himandhoo Health Center has been awarded to Samal Construction. The total cost of the project amounts to MVR 4,904,266.28 (Four Million Nine Hundred Four Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Rufiyaa Twenty-Eight Laari). The construction work is expected to be completed within a duration of 160 days.

Additionally, the Health Ministry has awarded Unique Choice Pvt Ltd the contract for constructing the extension, specifically an office building, at the Himmafushi Health Centre. The project is estimated to cost MVR 4,471,402.77 (Four Million Four Hundred Seventy-One Thousand Four Hundred Two Rufiyaa Seventy Seven Laari). The construction work is anticipated to be finished within a timeframe of 150 days.

The construction of the extension buildings will provide additional space and resources, enabling the health centers to offer a wider range of medical services to the local communities.
