Maldivian band 2OfUs takes the stage at Battle of the Bands International alongside Anu Malik.
Hotelier Maldives announced that “2ofus”, the Maldivian band that recently secured second runner-up at India’s Battle of the Bands International, will be the Lead Performer at the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025 gala ceremony.
The event, presented by Bestbuy Maldives (BBM), will take place at Barceló Nasandhura Malé on June 14.
The band 2ofus—featuring Ahmed Adhuham (Lead Vocalist), Abdulla Shamrooh, Mohamed Nasooh bin Nasruddin, Ahmed Shaheed (Shaheed Legacy), and Ahmed Jasheem—rose to national prominence after achieving international success in India. Since then, they have become one of the Maldives’ most popular live acts.
According to the Hoterlier Maldives, the Lead Vocalist of 2ofus, Ahmed Adhuham, said that it was an honour to be a part this event that celebrates Maldivian hospitality.
“We’re proud to represent Maldivian music on an international stage, and now we’re just as proud to bring that same passion to the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025,” he said.
The Editor of Hotelier Maldives, Ali Naafiz, welcomed 2ofus’ participation, noting their alignment with the spirit of the awards.
“The Hotelier Maldives Awards celebrate the individuals behind the Maldives’ success as a world-class tourism destination. 2ofus embody that same spirit of ambition and talent—pushing boundaries and earning recognition beyond our shores. We’re thrilled to have them lead the entertainment at this year’s ceremony. Their performance will add vibrancy and pride to an evening dedicated to our industry’s finest,” Naafiz said.
Launched last year, the Hotelier Maldives Awards aim to honour outstanding individuals in the Maldives’ hospitality and tourism industry. The inaugural edition attracted over 300 nominations and more than 100,000 public votes. This year’s awards have drawn even greater interest, with more than 450 nominations and 600,000 public votes cast following a rigorous shortlisting and judging process. The 2025 edition also introduces four new award categories, further celebrating the diverse talents across the country’s tourism workforce.
