Following revisions to the Gulhi Falhu Land Use Plan, the ministry is now issuing land registries for plots allocated through a new draw, with the distribution taking place at the grounds of the former Housing Ministry.
These changes were introduced by the current government, which replaced earlier plot allocations from Giraavaru Falhu with new ones from Gulhi Falhu. As a result, previous registrations were voided and a fresh draw was conducted to reassign plots.
The ministry began accepting applications for new land registries last month. However, some recipients have refused to sign the new agreement, citing discrepancies between the agreement and the policies governing land issuance.
In response, the Housing Ministry clarified that although registries had initially been issued for land in Giraavaru Falhu, the location of plots has changed due to amendments made to the Gulhi Falhu Land Use Plan. The allocation of plots was determined through the new draw.
