Hulhulé Records Highest Rainfall in Maldives Over Past 24 Hours

Hulhulé experienced the highest rainfall in the Maldives over the last 24 hours, according to the Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS.)
The Met Office reported that 103.5 millimetres of rain fell on Hulhulé between 8am yesterday and 8am today. This was followed by HDh. Makunudhoo, which recorded 95.9 millimetres during the same period.
Other islands experiencing significant rainfall included Fuvahmulah with 76 millimetres, Malé with 63.1 millimetres, Raa. Alifushi with 57.8 millimetres, Baa. Goidhoo with 54.7 millimetres, and Hulhumalé with 51.4 millimetres.
The Met Office has forecast showers and thundershowers across parts of the country today, with heavy rainfall expected in some islands. Sea conditions are also expected to vary, with strong winds predicted in the central and southern seas, while the northern seas are expected to remain moderately strong.
Authorities are advising residents and seafarers to remain cautious as the unstable weather persists.
