President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has instituted a specialised task force aimed at safeguarding children from diverse bullying scenarios. Shedding light on the task force’s objectives, Minister Shaheem highlighted that numerous initiatives will be initiated to enhance public awareness.
These efforts include disseminating information through sermons preceding Friday prayers, organising religious forums, arranging specialised programmes for parents, and conducting workshops tailored to specific age demographics.
The task force, composed of ministers, was established in response to the emergence of a bullying incident involving a child that garnered attention on social media platforms. Its mandate encompasses revising and implementing sustainable preventive measures to address such occurrences.
