According to plans released by the Ministry, the mosque will be a three-storey building designed to serve as a centre for both religious observance and educational activities. Facilities will include spaces for Quranic studies and a dedicated library.
The agreement was formally signed by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali, on behalf of the Ministry. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new mosque is expected to take place in December, with construction scheduled to begin after Ramadan.
This project aligns with the Ministry’s broader initiative to improve religious infrastructure and to provide spaces for community engagement and educational opportunities.
