Islamic Ministry Contracts to Build Two Mosques in Thaa Atoll

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has contracted two construction companies to build mosques in Th. Kandoodhoo and Th. Vandhoo. The contracts for these projects were formally signed during a ceremony held at the Ministry, yesterday.

The construction of the Th. Kandoodhoo Mosque has been entrusted to Mims Construction Private Limited, while the responsibility for the Vandhoo Mosque project has been awarded to LF Construction Private Limited.

These upcoming projects is the provision for separate prayer facilities for both men and women, aligning with the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring inclusive worship spaces for all members of the community.
The Kandoodhoo mosque project is valued at MVR 11,258,581. Similarly, the Vandhoo mosque project holds a value of MVR 9,778,268 and is slated for completion within a span of 365 days.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, alongside Kinbidhoo MP Mohamed Nashiz, representatives from MIMS Construction, and LF Construction.
