Islamic Ministry Signs Agreement with ACC to Combat Corruption

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), in a significant step towards addressing corruption.
The agreement, aimed at fostering cooperation in combating corruption, was signed by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and ACC President Adam Shamil during a ceremony held today.
Emphasising the significance of the collaboration, President Shamil highlighted that the agreement would provide a framework for both entities to work together effectively against corrupt practices.
The key objectives outlined in the agreement include identifying areas of collaboration, developing practical strategies to tackle corruption, defining the responsibilities of the ministry with guidance from the commission, facilitating exchange programs to enhance skills and knowledge, and establishing a transparent communication channel with the media.
Expressing gratitude for the collaborative effort, Minister Shaheem thanked President Shamil and the ACC staff, affirming the ministry’s commitment to upholding integrity throughout the partnership.
President Shamil reiterated the importance of inter-agency cooperation in the fight against corruption, emphasizing the necessity of support from all stakeholders to achieve this goal.
In closing, President Shamil extended his gratitude to Minister Shaheem and all parties involved in the joint endeavor.
