In a formal ceremony conducted at the Iskandharu Building, Deputy Commissioner of Police Abdul Mannan Yusuf represented the MPS in accepting these essential items, while Ambassador Takeuchi Midori conveyed the donation on behalf of the Government of Japan.
The drug and precursor field test kits, supplied by the Government of Japan, are designed to withstand exposure to water and include the necessary reagent tools for drug detection.
These kits serve as invaluable resources for the initial identification of various drugs. They enable law enforcement personnel to swiftly ascertain the types and components of substances, contributing to more efficient investigative processes.
By enhancing the capabilities of frontline officers, these test kits are expected to facilitate the identification of suspicious substances and objects at crime scenes, further aiding in the pursuit of justice.
