Among the key roles left vacant are the Deputy Leader, President of the Women’s League, and President of the Youth League.
Additionally, the party disclosed that eight out of the twenty-five positions elected through the national conference are now open.
The remaining vacancies pertain to chair positions in various committees.
The party’s official statement noted the departure of several members, including some from its leadership, subsequent to the defeat in September’s presidential election.
Notably, a number of these individuals have since aligned themselves with ruling coalition parties, namely the Progressive Party of Maldives and the People’s National Congress.
