Ministry of National Planning, Housing & Infrastructure has announced that the initiation of agreement signings with recipients of land under the ‘Binveriya Scheme’ is scheduled to begin today.

According to the announcement from the Housing Ministry, the process for handing over land will take place at the Hulhumale’ Synthetic Track.

The ministry has indicated that it will provide timely updates regarding the appearance dates and times for applicants to formalise the land transfer and endorse the land allocation agreement.

In instances where an individual other than the landowner is delegated to execute the agreement, they must complete and endorse the Power of Attorney document appended to the Binveriya Portal. This document should then be delivered to the authorized signatory, enabling them to formalise both the land transaction and the land assignment agreement.

For those assuming responsibility for the land transfer and subsequent agreement, it is requisite to have a photocopy of the land recipient’s identification card. In the event of a substitute representative, the original ‘power of attorney’ document sanctioning their authority to sign the land transfer agreement, along with a copy of their identification card, must also be provided.
