Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has introduced changes to traffic flow at Velana International Airport (VIA), requiring all taxis and private vehicles dropping off passengers for domestic departures to use the front of the former International Terminal (Terminal 2), with access to the previous domestic terminal area now prohibited.
MACL stated that the changes take effect immediately, following the relocation of domestic operations to Terminal 2 at the airport.
Passengers arriving on domestic flights who require taxi services must use the designated taxi queue located near Terminal 1, the company said.
MACL confirmed that airport bus routes remain unchanged. The company has advised airport users and visitors to take note of the revised traffic flow and plan their travel accordingly.
