Maldives Condemns Israel’s Airstrikes on Iran
The Maldives government has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s recent military airstrikes on Iran, characterising the attacks as a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a breach of international law.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives called for an immediate reduction of hostilities, citing concerns over regional stability.

The statement urged all involved parties to exercise restraint, uphold international law, and seek measures to de-escalate the situation. Furthermore, Maldives called on the global community to support efforts for an immediate ceasefire and to encourage dialogue as a means toward lasting peace in the region.
Israel’s airstrikes come in response to Iran’s recent warnings of potential retaliation following missile attacks on Israel earlier this month. Israel has indicated that any retaliatory action by Iran would be met with a stronger response.
