Maldives Customs Seizes Over 11 Kg of Drugs
The Maldives Customs Service has intercepted a total of 11.6 kilograms of drugs this month, with an estimated street value of 9.86 million rufiyaa.
The drugs were seized on the 14th and 19th of August. The intercepted substances include 0.68 kilograms of cathinone, 10.20 kilograms of cannabis, and 0.74 kilograms of heroin. According to Customs, the drugs were discovered in a parcel arriving from Korea on the 14th and in a separate air shipment on the 19th.
Despite the seizure, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The seized drugs have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
