The Chief of Defence Force of the Maldives National Defence Force, Major General Ibrahim Hilmy, has held discussions with the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral Damian Fernando, during a visit to the Sri Lankan Navy Headquarters.

Major General Hilmy was received with a Guard of Honour in accordance with naval protocol. The meeting focused on key areas of bilateral cooperation, with both sides discussing matters of mutual interest related to defence collaboration and regional security.
The visit concluded with an exchange of mementoes between the two officials, reflecting the friendly ties and ongoing cooperation between the Maldives and Sri Lanka’s defence forces.
