Maldives’ Non-Resident Ambassador to France Presents Credentials to President Macron

Dr Iruthisham Adam, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to the United Kingdom, presented her Letter of Credence to French President Emmanuel Macron, formally assuming her role as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to France.
She presented the credentials yesterday at a ceremony held at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
During the meeting following the ceremony, Ambassador Iruthisham conveyed greetings and best wishes from Maldivian President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, the government, and the people of Maldives to President Macron, the French government, and the people of France. Emphasising the longstanding bilateral ties between the two nations, she reaffirmed the Maldivian government’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and enhancing trade, investment, and cultural exchanges with France.

She also met with Jean-Claude Brunet, Ambassador for Regional Cooperation in the Indian Ocean, and Myriam Saint-Pierre, Deputy Director of the Asia and Oceania Department, at the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
Ambassador Iruthisham was accompanied by Aminath Samra, Third Secretary at the Maldivian High Commission in the United Kingdom.
