The centre is equipped with advanced medical technologies, including robotic systems, to provide rapid and effective treatment for stroke patients. It is also linked with regional hospitals, allowing patients across the Maldives to access high-quality neurological care regardless of location.

The facility will operate through a multidisciplinary approach, integrating various departments to deliver comprehensive care in neuroscience and related fields. It will bring together some of the nation’s most experienced specialists, including the first local neurologist Ahmed Rashid, first neurosurgeon Ali Niyaf, and first paediatric neurologist Samahath.

Further initiatives are planned this year at Dharumavantha Hospital and Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) to expand and strengthen healthcare services nationwide.
