Maldives Police Recruit Taken to Malé Following Health Emergency

A Maldives Police Service recruit undergoing training at Dh. Vaanee was transferred to Malé City yesterday due to a deterioration in health.
According to the police, the 34-year-old recruit failed to respond to the wake-up call at approximately 4:21 am at the Police Training Sector. Shortly afterwards, at around 4:27 am, the recruit was moved to the medical room for emergency care. Following medical advice, the individual was taken to Dhaalu Atoll Hospital at around 4:48 am.
Later in the afternoon, the recruit was airlifted and transported to Malé City, arriving at approximately 1:22 pm. Police confirmed that the recruit remains in critical condition and is currently receiving intensive care.
The cause of the recruit’s sudden decline in health has not yet been determined. While the individual was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), the hospital has not provided a comment on the matter.
