The hackathon is co-hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Hong Kong, and the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities. It is designed to engage young people and encourage the use of technology to foster innovation in the global fight against corruption.

The winning team will secure the opportunity to take part in the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), which is set to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 14 to 19 December.

The ACC has highlighted the importance of participation in this initiative, viewing it as a platform to empower young people while strengthening international collaboration against corruption.
