Maldivian Airlines Unveils Direct Flight Route Between Addu and Kooddoo

Maldivian Airlines has announced plans to introduce direct flights between Addu and Kooddoo, starting from October 29 this year. 

The airline disclosed that these flights will operate on a scheduled basis, departing from Gan, Addu to Kooddoo every Tuesday, and returning from Kooddoo to Gan, Addu every Saturday.

According to the proposed weekly schedule, flights from Addu to Kooddoo will depart every Tuesday at 11:55 hrs, while return flights from Kooddoo to Addu will take place every Saturday at 17:30 hrs.

Maldivian Airlines emphasized that the decision to launch these flights stems from collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), and the Ministry of Tourism, aligning with the current administration’s strategy to expand tourism to the Southern islands.

Highlighting the benefits of this new flight sector, Maldivian Airlines underscored that it aims to facilitate convenient travel not only for locals but also for tourists looking to explore the country’s Southern atolls.

The airline has opened bookings for these flights, effective from April 4, allowing passengers to reserve their seats through the official website, mobile application, or by visiting one of Maldivian Airlines’ ticketing offices.t
