Maldivian Hajj Mission Departs for Saudi Arabia to Support Pilgrims

The Hajj Mission for the Islamic year 1446 has departed from the Maldives to Saudi Arabia to oversee preparations and provide support for Maldivian pilgrims undertaking this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Acting on behalf of the government, the Mission is tasked with ensuring the smooth coordination and delivery of services for pilgrims travelling from the Maldives. It will collaborate closely with the relevant Saudi authorities to manage both logistical and religious aspects of the pilgrimage.

This year, 1,000 Maldivian pilgrims are expected to participate in the Hajj. To support their journey, the Mission comprises a multidisciplinary team including officials from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ Hajj Section, representatives of the Maldives Hajj Corporation, religious scholars, a medical doctor, media personnel from the Ministry, and a representative from Public Service Media (PSM).
According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the Mission is committed to providing comprehensive guidance and support throughout the pilgrimage. It aims to ensure that all pilgrims have a safe, well-organised, and spiritually enriching experience during this sacred journey.
