The airline confirmed that it will now operate four weekly flights to Funadhoo, expanding service from the previous three flights a week. Under the revised schedule, flights will be available every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This adjustment is expected to improve accessibility and travel convenience for residents and visitors in the northern region.
Funadhoo Airport, which opened in February 2020, plays a key role in strengthening domestic connectivity across the Maldives. The facility was developed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company through a major land reclamation project involving 40 hectares of dredging.
The airport features a 1,200-metre runway measuring 30 metres in width, along with a 90-metre taxiway and a 50-metre apron, supporting increased operational capacity to accommodate the upgraded flight schedule.
