Maldivian teams up with Hawks Hotels to launch seaplane service in Kamadhoo

Maldivian, the national airline, has entered into an agreement with Hawks Hotels to launch a seaplane service in Baa Atoll’s Kamadhoo.

The agreement was signed during a ceremony held this morning as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s visit to Kamadhoo, which took place during his tour of Baa Atoll.

Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas signed the agreement on behalf of Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), while Director Hussain Aman represented Hawks Hotels. No further details of the arrangement have been disclosed by the company at this stage.

Kamadhoo, a growing hub for local tourism, attracts both visitors and residents, and is home to several guesthouses, including two high-end establishments operated by Hawks. The only airport in Baa Atoll is located on Dharavandhoo, another island with a thriving local tourism sector.
