Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, is seeking agents to support the expansion of its recently launched wide-body operations to South Africa.
The airline’s operator, Island Aviation Services Limited, has announced its intention to appoint a general passenger sales agent in South Africa for the Airbus A330-200 operations.
Interested parties have been invited to submit an expression of interest by email, accompanied by the relevant EOI form, before midnight on 4 July.
Maldivian began operating its A330-200 aircraft in January, launching services to China. The airline currently serves three Chinese cities, including Chengdu, Beijing and Shanghai.
The acquisition of the wide-body aircraft was part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s electoral pledge to introduce two wide-body aircraft for Maldivian. The government also plans to acquire a second wide-body aircraft and commence services to European destinations by October this year.
