Maldivian Signs Connectivity Agreement With Air India

Maldives’ national airline, Maldivian, has signed a connectivity agreement with India’s national carrier, Air India.

The agreement aims to make flights between the two countries more seamless and improve domestic travel within the Maldives for passengers arriving from India. Passengers travelling from New Delhi and Mumbai via Air India will benefit from shorter layovers, with easier access to connecting domestic flights operated by Maldivian. The airline serves 16 destinations across the Maldives.

Maldivian’s Managing Director, Ibrahim Iyas, said the agreement will support the airline’s ongoing efforts to provide quality services for passengers travelling to the atolls. He added that the partnership is expected to contribute to further growth in the tourism sector.

Air India’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nipun Aggarwal, stated that passengers flying with Air India can now conveniently book flights for domestic travel within the Maldives.

Maldivian has been signing similar connectivity agreements with other international airlines, allowing passengers arriving in the Maldives to more easily access domestic flights across the country.
