Malé City Council Opens Submissions for Disposal of Religious Texts

Malé City Council has opened submissions for the disposal of Holy Qurans and Islamic religious texts.
In an announcement published in the Gazette, the council stated that it has decided to facilitate the proper disposal of these materials. As part of this initiative, the council will accept religious texts from households twice a year.
Eligible items for submission include old copies of the Holy Quran, teachings and sayings of Prophet Mohamed, and other religious texts.
The first round of submissions is currently open, with materials accepted until 28 February. Submissions can be made daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at a designated table in the waste section of the council on Falastine Hingun.
