Male’ City Council Reveals Eid Celebration Plans

The Male’ city council has unveiled its plans to commemorate Eid with a diverse array of entertainment and activities throughout the capital. 

The announcement was made yesterday, outlining the schedule for Eid celebrations on X.

Commencing from 9:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., a series of events are scheduled to take place. The festivities kick off with a Water Fest at Rasfannu at 9:30 a.m., offering residents and visitors an opportunity to engage in aquatic activities.

Later in the day, at 4 p.m., Bodumas and Maali parades are set to commence, commencing from the vicinity of Olympus cinema and concluding at Artificial Beach. This procession aims to infuse the streets with vibrant displays, enhancing the celebratory ambiance of the occasion.

Culminating the day’s celebrations, a fireworks display is slated to illuminate the skies above Artificial Beach at 10 p.m., providing a captivating finale to the festivities.

Eid al-Fitr, as per the calendar, falls on Wednesday, the 10th of this month, marking the conclusion of Ramadan and a significant religious observance for the Muslim community.
