Male’ City Mayor Adam Azim has announced that the new office building for the Male’ City Council will be completed within 10 months.
During a ceremony held last morning to mark the launch of a cleanup event in the West Maafannu district, Azim shared that the council is currently operating from nine different buildings, with some employees working remotely from home. He emphasised that the new office complex will bring all 1,200 employees together under one roof.
Azim expressed his belief that the completion of the new building would significantly change the way the Male’ City Council operates. He reassured residents that they would experience a transformed service environment, where they would be able to access services more efficiently.
He also highlighted the new office complex as a crucial step in enhancing the council’s ability to serve the over 200,000 residents of Male’. The new building, which is located on a 20,000 square foot plot at Thaisay Koshi, is expected to save on rent costs, streamline service delivery, and ensure continuous service without interruption.
The two-storey office complex is part of Azim’s vision to make the council a more accessible and effective body for the capital’s residents.
