Man Found Deceased After Boat Capsizes Near Thulusdhoo

A man who had been reported missing after the boat “Leo” capsized near K. Thulusdhoo has been found deceased.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) confirmed that the vessel was carrying six people when it overturned on Tuesday evening. The Malé Area Second Squadron was deployed to the scene following reports of the incident.

The body of the missing individual was later recovered, though no further details regarding the circumstances of the incident or the identities of those involved have been released. The police, the Thulusdhoo Council, and the island’s health centre have not provided additional information.
