Manta Aviation Private Limited has been fined MVR 20,000 for constructing a seaplane platform without obtaining the required approval from the Environmental Regulation Authority (ERA).
The ERA said the project, which was developed near Raa Atoll Ifuru, a five-star tourist resort at the atoll, required environmental screening and prior approval, as it could affect the surrounding environment where the development was carried out.
