MCS Appoints Ahmed Sobah as Deputy Commissioner of Prisons

The Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has appointed Ahmed Sobah as the Deputy Commissioner of Prisons.
In a post on X yesterday, the MCS congratulated Sobah, who previously served as Deputy Superintendent of Prisons. The service noted that he brings more than 21 years of experience in the correctional field, both as a civilian and a prison officer, and said it looked forward to advancing its work under his leadership.

Sobah’s appointment follows the retirement of former Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Ibrahim Mohamed Didi, who stepped down on 26 July after 20 years of service at Maldives Corrections.
