MDP Opens Applications for Parliamentary Group Positions

The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has opened applications for positions within its parliamentary group.

The election for these posts will take place next Tuesday, 28 May.

MDP members are requested to submit their expressions of interest via email to elections@mdp.org.mv by 14:00 on Monday, 27 May.

In the 19th parliamentary assembly, which concluded last week, MDP held a supermajority. However, the party only secured 12 seats in the incoming 20th parliamentary assembly.

Members of the 20th parliamentary assembly will also be sworn in on Tuesday.
