Medtech Maldives Hosts Hemodialysis Conference with Nipro Corporation to Advance Dialysis Care and Training

Medtech Maldives, in partnership with Japan’s Nipro Corporation and Maldivian nephrology experts, started the Medtech – Nipro Hemodialysis Conference and Training yesterday.
The conference will continue until Tuesday, February 25 at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
Medtech Maldives said this event reaffirms Medtech Maldives’ commitment to advancing dialysis treatments and patient care through innovation and international best practices.
The conference features Dr. Behram A. Khan, Senior Consultant Nephrologist and Executive Director of Renal Health Services, Singapore, who will share insights into personalized dialysis care and global nurse training standards.

Building on its commitment to innovation, Medtech Maldives is introducing Hemodiafiltration (HDF) & Best Renal Care Protocols to enhance patient health and longevity. Collaborating with the Ministry of Health and all Hospitals, under the “investor finance model”, Medtech is heavily investing millions of Rufiyaa in 2025 to fully upgrade dialysis equipment and expand access to remote centres, ensuring essential care for underserved communities.
To build local expertise, Medtech Maldives plans to train over 100 nurses in 2025 through programs modelled on Singapore’s best renal care standards. Additionally, the Nephrologist initiatives of establishing a Nephrology Society uniting doctors, nurses, patients, and suppliers to strengthen healthcare networks and ecosystems which in turn benefit the patients.
