MET Office Extends White Alert for Strong Winds and Rough Seas Across the Maldives
The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has extended a white alert for strong winds and rough seas across the country.

The alert is in effect for the whole country from 1000 hrs to 1500 hrs today. The MMS has indicated that strong winds of 19 – 24 mph with rough seas are expected during the time period.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
- White alert: Alert Level 1
- Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
- Orange warning: Alert Level 3
- Red warning: Alert Level 4
