Met Office Issues White Alert for Entire Country

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a white alert for the whole country.

The alert is from 0800 hours to 1400 hours with forecast warns of strong winds with gusts of wind up to 45 mph. The MMS warns of rough seas as well.
MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:
- White alert: Alert Level 1
- Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
- Orange warning: Alert Level 3
- Red warning: Alert Level 4
