MET Office Issues White Alert from Haa Alifu to Baa Atolls

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a White Alert for the region spanning from Haa Alifu Atoll to Baa Atoll. 

This alert is in effect from 12:30 hours to 17:30 hours, today. The forecast warns of heavy rain and thunderstorms in the mentioned areas.

The MMS recommends that individuals residing in or visiting the affected regions remain alert and take appropriate safety measures.

MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:

  • White alert: Alert Level 1
  • Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
  • Orange warning: Alert Level 3
  • Red warning: Alert Level 4
