MET Office Issues White Alert from Noonu Atoll to Alif Alif Atoll

The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a White Alert for the region spanning from Noonu Atoll to Alif Alif Atoll. 

This alert is in effect from 16:30 hours to 20:30 hours, today. The forecast warns of heavy rains and thunderstorms within the effected area.

The MMS recommends that individuals residing in or visiting the affected regions remain alert and take appropriate safety measures.

MMS categorises weather alerts as follows:

• White alert: Alert Level 1
• Yellow advisory: Alert Level 2
• Orange warning: Alert Level 3
• Red warning: Alert Level 4
