He made these remarks at a ceremony organised by the Ministry’s Recreation Club to mark International Women’s Day.
During the event, Minister Shareef acknowledged the significant contributions women have made to the ministry, highlighting their unprecedented work and sacrifices across various areas of its operations. He emphasised his belief in the vital role women play, quoting a well-known English saying that women are the foundation of a nation’s civilisation.
He noted that women have been instrumental in bringing vitality to the ministry, especially through their involvement in events hosted by the ministry.
The ceremony took place at the Public Works Unit of the Ministry yesterday.
